(SPRINGFIELD) Diary producers are reminded to enroll in 2024 Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) by April 29th. While the signup began back at the end of February, the payments began last month in March, retroactive to January, the safety net program helps offset milk and feed price differences. At last check, 285 dairy operations in Illinois have signed up. Dairy producers should contact their County FSA Office before next Monday’s deadline.
