(SPRINGFIELD) Less than two weeks remain to return ballots for this year’s Farm Service Agency county committee elections as the USDA mailed out the ballots earlier to eligible agricultural producers and private landowners across the nation. Committee members will be elected in certain Local Administrative Areas (LAA’s) to make important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. All ballots must be returned to local FSA county offices or have the ballots postmarked by Monday, December 2nd. The newly elected committee members will take office January 1st, 2025.
