The IECC Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting last night in Fairfield, where several important decisions were made:
- Approved the payment of all bills as presented.
- Accepted a proposal for a new non-bargaining unit salary range, set to take effect in the final year of 2026, with scheduled pay increases starting in September 2025.
- Approved an agreement with SIU Carbondale to continue its Motorcycle Rider Program at all four IECC colleges for the next academic year.
- Waived a second reading and approved revisions to two district policies—one regarding tuition waivers and the other related to holiday, leave, and benefits.
- Expressed gratitude to those who attended the recent groundbreaking ceremony at Olney Central College for the new Applied Technology Center, which will eventually house IECC’s Nursing and Radiography Programs.
- Acknowledged the hard work of Operations & Maintenance staff for clearing snow and ice at all four campuses.
- Celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Olney Central College Theater.
Personnel Matters
- Hired Ken Pryor as Technology Systems Specialist at the District Office.
- Hired Marty Smith as Maintenance/Groundskeeper at Frontier.
- Approved special assignments for Kelly Payne, who served as Discipline Facilitator for several unfilled positions at Frontier, Lincoln Trail, and Wabash Valley.
The next regular monthly meeting for the IECC Board of Trustees will be on February 18th, 2025.
