Last night, the Newton Lady Eagles faced two tough road losses at Effingham:
- Varsity: Newton lost 31-48. Karasyn Martin led the team with 11 points, and Camryn Martin added 6 points.
- Junior Varsity: The Lady Eagles fell 37-65.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action tomorrow night, traveling to Neoga.

The Olney Lady Tigers suffered two losses to Mt. Carmel in LIC Conference play last night:
- Varsity: Olney lost 28-61.
- Junior Varsity: Mt. Carmel won 48-45.
The Lady Tigers will return to action Saturday afternoon at Albion, with JV play starting at 1:00 PM and varsity at 2:30 PM at Edwards County High School.
