RICHLAND COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION JULY 2025 MEETING RECAP

(OLNEY) — The Richland County Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting Monday night in Olney. Key highlights from the meeting include:

  • Financial Business: The Board approved the June financial report, which included a monthly bill listing totaling $1,102,307.
  • District Updates: Members received updates on the 2025–2026 online student registration process and a final review of the FY25 district budget.
  • Future Planning: The Board discussed the next steps in planning for the proposed new Athletic Complex.
  • Banking and Agreements: A bank bid was awarded to TrustBank for the next two fiscal years. The Board also approved the 2025–2026 Educational Support Handbook, Bus Driver Handbook, and the Head Start Agreement.
  • District Planning: The Board approved the District’s Consolidated Plan and the Substitute Pay Rates for FY26.
  • Curriculum Investment: An $8,000 purchase of Dual Credit Communications Curriculum for RCHS was approved.
