“BIG THINGS” RESOLUTION / IECC SUMMER CAMPS

(SPRINGFIELD) It was last week in Springfield that a House Resolution was passed to honor the life of James “Jim” Bolin of Casey, who passed away earlier this year in January. House Bill sponsor State Representative Adam Niemerg noted that while Bolin was known and loved by people everywhere throughout south central & southeastern Illinois, he was recognized statewide as the visionary behind “Big Things in A Small Town” & collected twelve (12) Guinness World Record Titles for twenty-one (21) different objects that are on display throughout the City of Casey. Co-Sponsors of the bill included State Representatives Blaine Wilhour, Brad Halbrook, and Chris Miller. In keeping with Bolin’s accomplishments, the lawmakers appropriately made the resolution much larger than normal, measuring at least six feet tall and four feet wide.

(OLNEY) The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) is excited to announce the release of its 2026 Summer Camps and the 2026-2027 Community Education Catalog, all to offer engaging learning opportunities for students of all ages throughout the District.
