(OLNEY) The Richland County Board had its regular monthly meeting for May last night in Olney. The Board : approved the financial report from April – $990,238 in non-county claims and $118,934 in county claims : approved the $5,000 pay estimate #7 to EJ Water for the Phase #82 project : approved culvert aid petitions for Madison and Denver Townships : accepted the bid from Ambraw Asphalt Materials for the construction of asphalt shoulders along the Ste. Marie Road : approved the appointments of Gary Houchin and Vic Colwell to the Richland County Public Building Commission and of Dr. Waller to the County Mental Health Board : approved a contract with Bellwether, LLC to review county fees : agreed to look for a used vehicle for the Sheriff’s Department : approved pay increases for the County Clerk’s and County Treasurer’s positions : heard a positive report from the State’s Attorney’s Office : approved a Unit Clarification Petition to remove Animal Control from the Union Contract : approved a contract with plans to purchase the parking lot just north of the Richland County Courthouse from the First National Bank in Olney : approved a Labor’s Union contract for three years, retroaction to December 1st, 2025 : and noted that the Richland County Highway Department will soon begin its road oiling program : the next regular monthly meeting for the Richland County Board will be June 11th, 2026.
