FRIDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a short wave clipper weather system has rolled out of our downstate area this morning, the snow has ended, and now the cold arctic air behind the system moves in. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the rest of today, through tonight, and until 12:00 noon tomorrow. The strong northwest wind will give us wind chill values below zero now for the next 24 to 36 hours, not to mention all the blowing snow after the one inch that fell overnight on average throughout the region. But we start a warming trend on Sunday, getting back into the 30’s and 40’s next Tuesday and Wednesday with some rain in next week’s forecast. Stay tuned for updates and always monitor a local NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
