(OLNEY) There’s a winner every weekend at the Olney VFW with its next Queen of Hearts drawing, all open to the public, at 4:00 this Sunday afternoon. Following a $20 winner this past weekend, the top jackpot now is now up to $3,340 if the winner is present, or half that amount if not, plus smaller possible card winners as well. And remember, the drawing is live-streamed on the VFW Post page on Facebook. Tickets are now on sale right up until draw time. (OLNEY) The Olney Public Library will host the second horticulture presentation led by the University of Illinois Extension Office in Olney is this coming Monday night, April 15th, from 5:00 to 6:00. This month’s topics include flowers and landscaping. All are invited.
(CLAY CITY) The Clay City Christian Church has a fundraising pork burger and bratswurst sale this Sunday evening, with serving from 4:00 to 7:00, with live entertainment at 7:00. Either eat in or carry out. All proceeds go to the church’s youth mission trip and programs.
(OLNEY) The Tri-Parish CYM will host a fundraising pancake breakfast and basket raffle this coming Sunday morning at the St. Joseph Church in Olney, with serving from 8:00 to 10:30. All are invited. All proceeds will go towards an upcoming youth mission trip.
(OLNEY) The Southern Smilers 4-H Club has a pork burger and shake-up drink sale this coming Saturday at the Olney Rural King, with serving from 10:00 to 2:00, or until sold out. It includes pork burgers, chips, soda, water, and shake-ups, either orange, lemon, or mixed. All proceeds will help the local 4-H Club with its upcoming activities and events.
(OLNEY) The Olney VFW Auxiliary has another Friday night “taco night” tonight, with serving from 5:30 to 7:30, or until sold out. Includes tacos, nacho platters, taco salads, taco potatoes, and more. (NEWTON) It’s another Queen of Hearts drawing this Friday night at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton with tickets on sale up until draw time at 6:30 and a jackpot at $6,550. With serving to start at 5:00, the Queen’s Menu includes a choice of sandwiches, breaded tenderloin or chicken cordon bleu, each with a choice of sides, and priced at $10.00 each.
