The LIC Conference Tournament took place yesterday at West Berwick Golf Club in Mt. Carmel, where the host Lady Aces dominated the competition, winning the conference crown by an impressive 138-stroke margin. Mt. Carmel finished with a score of 293, well ahead of second-place Robinson at 431. Olney secured third place with a score of 461, followed by Marshall at 568. Newton and Casey-Westfield did not have team scores, fielding only two golfers each.
Individually, the top six golfers were recognized as First Team All-LIC. Mt. Carmel’s Emily Gottman took home the LIC Championship with a remarkable low round of 67. Teammate Miley Kennard finished in second place, just three strokes behind at 70. Four other Mt. Carmel players rounded out the top six:
- Zeme Moore
- Ava Brumagin
- Elyse Swanson
- Miranda Kennard
Additionally, three players were named to the Second Team All-LIC:
- Peyton Lindley from Newton, finishing 7th overall with a score of 97
- Abby Rich from Robinson, in 8th place at 99
- Leah Correll from Robinson, in 9th place with a score of 102
The Olney Lady Tigers just missed the top ten, with notable performances from:
