The LIC Conference Tournament took place yesterday at West Berwick Golf Club in Mt. Carmel. The host team, the Golden Aces, claimed the conference title with a score of 319, narrowly defeating Olney, which finished at 323. Newton finished in a close third with a score of 325, followed by Lawrenceville/Red Hill at 333 and Casey-Westfield at 338. Robinson secured sixth place at 384, while Paris and Marshall rounded out the field with scores of 390 and 432, respectively.
Individually, the top twelve golfers were honored as First Team All-LIC. Olney’s Ayden Nealis emerged as the LIC Champion, shooting an impressive 2-under-par 69—marking Olney’s fourth consecutive title. Newton’s Gunner James finished in second place, four strokes behind at 73, while Olney’s Reese Glover took third with a score of 76. Tying for ninth place were Newton’s Michael Kennedy and Jack James, both finishing at 82.
Other notable performances included:
- Kollin Kelsey from Mt. Carmel, 4th place with 78
- Hatcher Kanipe and Zane Wilcox from Mt. Carmel, both tied for 5th at 80
- Tyler Volk from Casey-Westfield, also tied for 5th at 80
- Hudson Meek and Boston Gray from Lawrenceville/Red Hill, tied with the Newton players for 9th, each shooting 82
In addition, five players were named to the Second Team All-LIC:
- Baron Young (Lawrenceville/Red Hill) with a score of 84
- Carter Davis (Lawrenceville/Red Hill) at 85
- Carson Hall (Casey-Westfield) also at 85
- Nox Gray (Lawrenceville) with an 85
- Jack Julius (Casey-Westfield) scoring 86
