MONDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION (07/08/2024)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) With one more day of dry weather conditions on tap after a sunny and dry weekend, the remnants of Hurricane Beryl are forecast to bring a swath of possibly heavy rainfall to some parts of our downstate area tomorrow into Wednesday. Anywhere from two to four inches of rain is possible before we dry out towards the end of the work week, and of course, the amount of rain we receive is dependent on the weather track. It’s for this reason that the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of our downstate listening area Tuesday through Wednesday night. Then after all the rain, heat and humidity will build back into our area for the upcoming weekend. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
