(OLNEY) The Richland County Board met for its regular monthly meeting for April last night in Olney. The Board : approved the payments of all county claims for March – $73,526 in non-county bills and $368,334 in county general claims : approved the re-appointment of Chris Waller to the 9-1-1 ETSB Board, of Greg Mullinax & Linda Dickerson to the Board of Review for 2-year terms, and Gary Waxler to the Farmland Assessment Review Committee for a 3-year term : heard updates on the Animal Control Building, on the County’s website development, & on the new School Resource Officer’s position within the Richland County School District : agreed to spend up to $10,000 for additional soundproofing panels for the Courthouse : agreed to pay salary stipends of 10% of the overall grant for the Circuit Clerk or anyone else that successfully writes and administers grants for Richland County : heard a presentation from the local Illinois Extension Office talking about the 4-H program in Richland County : discussed a couple of requests for ARPA funds, but no action taken : and adjourned after a closed session to discuss personnel : next regular meeting is May 9th.
