(OLNEY) The Richland County Soil & Water Conservation District is gearing up for its Annual Meeting, set for Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at the Best Western Parkside Event Center in Olney. With the doors open and registration at 5:30, the catered meal prepared by Barney Ochs will be served at 6:00, all followed by the business meeting at 7:00. This year’s guest speaker is Olney FFA member, 2024 RCHS graduate, and current Illinois FFA State President, Trenton Payne. While there will be no ticket sales at the door that night, the $10 per person tickets are on sale now from any SWCD Board member. Tickets can be reserved by calling the SWCD office at 618-392-7141, extension #3, or by stopping by the office along South Route 130, just south of the Red Rooster. All are invited to this year’s annual meeting.
