(OLNEY/NEWTON) We’ll have another warm and windy day on tap for this Tuesday with the chances increasing later today through tonight for some shower and thunderstorm activity throughout our downstate area. With the rain chances lingering tomorrow, with still warmer than normal air in place for Wednesday, a secondary frontal system has now developed, and will move in for yet more rain chances Thursday through Thursday night. We’ll eventually dry out Friday, but turn a little cooler with a dry weekend coming up. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather forecast details.
(NEWTON/OLNEY) By the way, yesterday’s high temperature reading, here at the National Weather Service Official Weather Station for Richland County, 87 degrees, which came in the four o’clock hour Monday afternoon, tied the record high for April 15th, which was originally set 18 years ago in 2006. That’s now three record high temperatures that have either been tied or broken so far in this year of 2024 here at the south edge of Olney.
