VILLAGE OF KINMUNDY ISSES CURFEW FOLLOWING INCREASE IN VANDALISM AND DISTURBANCES

(KINMUNDY) A Marion County town has issued a curfew for those under the age of 16 due to an increase in vandalism and public nuisance issues. The Village of Kinmundy approved an ordinance not allowing children to roam through the town without a parent, guardian, or responsible person age 18 or older after 8:00 each night. Any child that violates the curfew will be issued a citation and will be required to do four hours of community service work the following Saturday, plus their parents will be required to supervise them during that time. Village officials say the local park & playground equipment at a local church have been defaced with vulgar graffiti, along with other damage and trash thrown around town.
