(OLNEY) There’s a winner every weekend at the Olney VFW with its next Queen of Hearts drawing at 4:00 this Sunday afternoon. Following a $20 winner this past weekend, the top jackpot now sits at $1,615.50 if present, or half that amount if the winner is not present, plus smaller possible card winners as well. Tickets are on sale up until 3:30 Sunday. Stop by for tickets at the Post Home on North Walnut Street, north of the courthouse, or call 618-392-4226. And remember the Olney VFW will be open to the public this Sunday from 2:00 on for SuperBowl Sunday. All are invited to bring a snack or dish to share with those attending.
(OBLONG) The Bend Community Club will host its annual Valentine’s Breakfast this coming Sunday morning with serving from 8:00 to 12:00 noon. The menu will include Hartrich’s sausage, plus biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, breakfast potato casserole, fruit salad, breads, sweets, and drink, all for $10.00 per adult, $5.00 for a meal refill, and $5.00 for children age 3 to 10. That’s all at St. Valentine Hall in the Bend, southwest of Oblong.
(OLNEY) Twenty-some vendors will be set up tomorrow from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Olney Downtown Market, at the VFW Hall, just north of the Richland County Courthouse.
(PARKERSBURG) The Parkersburg Community Club will have its annual all-you-can-eat pancakes & sausage and biscuits and gravy breakfast fundraiser tomorrow morning at the Community Building in Parkersburg, with serving from 6:30 to 11:00. All donations accepted at the door will be used for community projects. All ages are invited.
(NEWTON) It’s another Queen of Hearts drawing this Friday night at 6:00 at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton with tickets on sale up until draw time. The Queen’s Menu this week features a pork loin dinner at $12.00 per person, with serving to start at 5:00.
