‘WHAT’S HAPPENING’ THIS WEEKEND

(OLNEY) All are invited out to hear the great gospel music of Big Mo this Sundaymorning at the Antioch Christian Church, starting at 10:00. The award winning singer & musician and dove award nominee is a frequent visitor to the church, located south of U.S. Route 50 on Higgin Switch Road, southwest of Olney, or southeast of Noble. Check it out this Sunday.

(FLORA) The American Legion Riders Post 14 in Flora will host the Annual Greg “Crazy” Gumbel Memorial Ride this coming Saturday with all motorcycles and other vehicles welcome. The cost is $10 per person or $20 per couple with registration at 9:30 Saturday morning and kick stands up at 11:00. The Memorial Ride route will run from Flora to Edgewood, Altamont, to Danny’s Pub, to the Louisville Legion, and back to Flora. Also a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds will go to help support Greg’s children and their future.

(OLNEY) The 16U Richland County Raptors Ball Team will have a chili fundraiser this Saturday in front of the Olney Rural King, with serving to start at 10:00 in the morning and run until sold out. Bring your own containers or tupperware. They will have chili by the cup or gallon, plus chili dogs, baked goods, & hot chocolate. Proceeds to help with expenses.

(NEWTON) It’s another Queen of Hearts drawing this Friday night at 6:30 at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton, with tickets on sale up until draw time, and a jackpot at $20,365. The Queen’s Menu is all-you-can-eat tacos, hard & soft shell, priced at $12 per person and serving at 5:00. It’s dine in only at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton this Friday night.
